Purpose/Aim: The bison is an animal native to the North American plains. It is a bovine mammal that has a dark-brown coat and short, curved horns. The male adult bison weighs about 2,000 pounds. North America's aborigines, the Native Americans, used the bison as their primary source of food. However, bison were used for much more than just food. Native Americans used the bison skins for clothing, shelter, and shoes. They also used the bones and made such things as tools and bowls. There was never any waste when the Native Americans were done processing a bison.”
